Just picked up my car after a repair since someone bashed the front bumper, repair looks good but when I travel more than 30 mph I get a warning on the dashboard saying the bonnet (hood) is open. I’m guessing a sensor could be dislodged, I haven’t had chance investigate does anyone have a clue as to what it might be?
Thanks in advance, Peter

I understand that there are generally two switches/sensors that the bonnet makes contact with when it's shut. Just take it back to the place that did the repair & let them sort it. ;) Probably just needs a tweak.

Thanks Emilys Dad, I think that is the best advice, I have had a quick look but nothing obvious.

The switches are located underneath the slam panel part of the lock so not obvious and annoyingly, not really adjustable so they must have moved either the latch points or the loops on the bonnet.

Thanks for that, it seems to have mysteriously cured itself after I slammed it shut this morning so hopefully it stays off.
Thanks again

One of the locks has probably seized open, use some wd40 or lubricant spray to free it. Slamming it does work until you want it open again :D

Based on my SL. Passengers side lock doesn't always engage, so i press on the bonnet on the passenger side till i hear a mechanical click.
l guess from your work, it may have caused misalignment.
