Are you saying the water gets between the skin of the boot lid and its liner?

Have you got a spoiler? If so. is it bolted on and are they bolt points sealed?

I still suffer this same problem with my H plate 190E 2.0L. I got rid of the spoiler, welded the bolt holes up (not personally - I got a welder chappy to do it), boot respray, and still, when I open the boot lid, a deluge of water pours into the boot. I cannot figure out how the water is getting in between the boot lid and inner skin. I really do like the old character - one electric mirror, one manual mirror - why not - brilliant!, but I'm not sure how long my patience with this particular problem is going to last. HELP!!!

The little rubber O ring seal around the lock button perishes on 190s. The amount of water that gets in is amazing. The new seals are cheap and fairly easy to replace.

Thanks Mark, I'll give it a try. Might even fix it myself if it is really straightforward!
