Hi Have just become 4th owner of SLK 1997.
Today the boot lid would not automatically unlock with the plip on the key. I attempted to put the key into the boot lock and it seems like the boot lock has a blanking plate in it as the key will not go in more than 1 cm. is this normal or should you be able to unlock the boot with the key?
I then had a further look around and the inside of the boot lid is matt black - should this be like this or should it be sprayed the same colour as the car ie red?
Is it normal for the roof seal to leak a tiny bit ( Like about 2 teaspoons of water) in heavy rain also?
lots of questions and probably many more too!
Thanks
Sharon
