Boot Lock turns, Boot Doesn't Open?

I keep suffering this problem every time I take the battery off for a charge and its got me again. can I do the same as the guy with the C180? Or just bounce on the boot lid???? doh!:(

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
You have the plastic box on the firewall passenger side, just join up 12 volt, observe polarity, and it will all pop up on the remote, and time sir to spray some PTFE into the lock to get that working

Thanks Malcolm! I took the precaution of lubricating the lock barrel, but forgot the internal mechanism.
