Thanks for the link, but I am not sure if this one will fit.

The one I need is part number 208 820 0889.

I think you have to get the exact part number due to the connections and whether or not the componenets are linked via fibre optics.

I have an analogue style Bose, so I was hoping there would be either plenty of people to repair them, but at the moment it seems like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

I have a Bose system that I use at home, when my house was struck by lightning a lot of the electrical equipment was destroyed/damaged, I telephoned the Bose repair centre directly, and they picked it up from the local shop in ellesmere port and repaired it FREE OF CHARGE, even though it was out of warranty by about 3 years.
So it might be worth asking them directly
