Really nice car. I had a Rover 827 manual last year for a while (Same car underneath.) Was like a rocket ship-an excellent engine that one. :D

quite rare too. most of the legends were 4 door saloons, aimed at competing with the rover 800, ford granada/scorpio, vauxhall omega and the likes.

looks in decent condition too, considering where you found it! nice!

I had one of these hand build coupés a few years ago, very under rated.

mo offence, Alan, but i always hated the way rovers drove. the standard 800 saloon/hatch didnt suit me at all, and IMO, the coupe was just as bad! looked like something sporty, looked ok, in fact (by rover standards at the time!) just a shame it didnt drive any better than the rest of the 800 series!

No offence:( but it did handle better than my last Rovers I owned (Silver 3.5 Manuel was a laugh though), especially in the snow and rain, plus better on fuel.:)

My first car was a 1937 Morris 8 van Reg RN8551 all of £50 in 1952-3, I fitted a Standard Vangaurd steering wheel that was so big it filled up both sides
