Just noticed that the ASSYST function on my 2007 C220 CDI is telling me that the next service due is a 'BP' service.

Is this the same as a 'B' service?

If not, does anyone know the differences in the schedule for a 'BP' service as opposed to a plain 'B' service?

Does the P stand for plus, indicating it needs additional work? Maybe an indie will be along to confirm.

BP is collected in VERY, VERY tiny pots ........ and is VERY, VERY expensive.

    Think about it...!!! :p

Ok - just been informed that 'BP' service indicates coolant needs to be replaced in addition to standard 'B' service......

I'll guarantee one thing - you'll really have to "Shell" out for this service!

Who translated for you that 'BP' service indicates coolant needs to be replaced in addition to standard 'B' service? :?: Is he/she a reliable source?

A reliable sauce would be HP, not BP :)

Have they downgraded the coolant? In my car it has a 15 year life.

Never heard of the dash saying "BP" before.

I've never seen this nor do I know what it is but it could be a coding issue. The Ins. could be coded for Germany where they have "P"eriodic emision tests. On some Sprinters they had the paragraph character coming up for this same reason and the solution was to SCN code the Ins.

I must say the jokes on this forum are sooo funny!

For the comedians - you guys should be in showbiz!

For the disbelievers, I will post a screenshot of the instrument panel.

For the antiquated, I will post MB service schedule with coolant replacement recommendations.

Calling people 'dumb as hell' and resurrecting an 8 year old thread isn't going to help your research.
Since we're so 'dumb' take it to your dealer and ask them as suggested.
I'm sure the answer will be in your owner's manuals.
