I've been told that the "new" 350 cdi is almost the old one that has been re mapped. Still the same 3.0 engine, heads, turbo etc etc.

Same engine .. but remapped ...... offering better fuel economy figures than the previous model ........... Noooooooooooooo !!!!!

Some will kick off about that ..... but hey ...... engineers know nothing ...right !!!

It appears to have more power as well although the 0-60 figures are exactly the same as the previous (and better looking) model.

I would assume that the chip is designed to work with a specific engine specification ( particularly in terms of the software configuation / specification). It would seem reasonable to expect that this has changed if different power / torque figures are being claimed for the 350.

Why not ask Brabus?

If the existing D6 isn't comaptible I'm sure Brabus will have one that is quite soon.

Having said all of that I had a quick look at the Brabus site (http://www.brabus.com/) and for a 320 CDI 211 E class the D6(111) is specified, and for a 212 350 CDI the same D6(111) is specified.

Hope their product is better than their web site as it's quite 'buggy' using Firefox.

Just noticed you have an ML. Same piece of kit specified for 320 and 350 models.
