Brabus d4 c class

New on here , a while back I bought a c class 2001 brabus d4 2.7 engine
Has anyone got one ?
It’s an estate
Built by brabus has all the logos mats exhaust etc
It seems to be quite rare ?

It appears to be brabus from new tho it comes up on insurance as a c270 cdi avantgarde

Providence would be required, bill of sale, all the docs.
As an example I’ve a friend with an R230 SL500 it has an AMG engine and has all the paperwork for the £14,000 bill for when it was sent to AMG Affalterbach just after it was delivered to the first owner. Doesn’t make his SL worth anymore though...

I thought that the 2.7 was a D5 (5 Cyl), or at least that was the Brabus tuning box I was going to buy for the wife’s old ML-270.

Welcome , yes the 270 was a 5 cylinder peach of an engine - quite tuneable

Bill of sale would be the only way to prove, the other way would be to check if there is a tuning box in the engine bay, if one is present then it’s just a 270 with a box and badges, if not then you would have to interrogate the map and compare that to a standard 270.
In all honesty I think you have a 270 Avantguard that someone have got happy with the Brabus badges

That's a bonefide Brabus D4 alright. Thought most of them had died to be honest but good to see one still in existence and you're right, not many of them were made.
