Brake Discs for B Class W246

Hi All.

Since getting my car several weeks ago, I'm slowly sorting out the various jobs needed doing on it. One of the main concerns is the front brake pads and brake discs (front & rear). There were advisories on the current & previous MOTs but appears to have been ignored by the previous owner. The car also starts to vibrate a little when I start to hit 70mph and think it may be atttibuted to the worn discs?

Unfortunately, my knowledge of car maintenance is very limited. I know my old Audi used to have Bosch discs fitted when they needed replacing and Brembo appears to have a good rep (though a little pricey for me at the moment). The pads I've no idea about.

The other query is how do I determine which size is needed? I gather sports models require the larger size & vented discs?

Appreciate any help/advice from the more experienced chaps out there.

Euro Car Parts have a discount code HEAT50 to get 40% off brake parts so I would think around £140 for disks and pads in Brembo plus you will need 1 wear sensor

The wheel wobble at 70 may well mean you need to have your wheels balanced

have you had the wheels checked for balance? Shudder/vibration at speed is often that.

Having had my fingers burned many years ago with pattern discs, I always buy OE these days ... you'll know they'll fit and be of a suitable quality (more so the bigger the car/disc)

I'll get wheel balancing checked as suggested and also look on ECP for the discs...whilst the offer is still on! Thanks for the tips guys.
