I posted about this previously. My brake light will sometimes stay on without the pedal being pressed. I've replaced the switch and the problem still persists. It's so odd. Sometimes it's fine, but then sometimes I'll turn on the engine and the brake light will be on. It will either go off when I start the car again at a later time, or mid drive (I've noticed after driving on the motorway or at high speed). If the light goes off mid drive, when I press the brake pedal sometimes it will stay on again. I replaced the brake switch and it was fine for a week, but now it's back on again. I'm not sure what it could be!

Any ideas?

Check the pedal returns to the top of its travel correctly and no sound deadening is obstructing it.
Also check the switch hasn't come loose.
