Brake pipes

Hi just had an advisory for 2 front brake pipes will need replacing for next MOT so has anyone ever replaced them before ?.
Any advice as in the abs and bleeding and is it much of a job to replace both this is on a mercedes w212 2012 cdi executive model thanks.
Ave had a quote for a £180 would this be right

lucky to get an advisory. Mine actually burst during the test! ABS doesnt come into it so long as its only the pipes leading to the calipers. do make sure you keep the master cylinder full.
that price sounds realistic enough for professional job.

So a don't have to disconnect the pipes from the abs pump

Depends where the pipes are foobarred, if the pipes are corroded at the pump then Y, if not maybe not, if they are repalcing the entire pipe.

If you want a tip, if you are replacing pipes and want to save yourself a nightmare when it comes to bleeding, familiarise yourself with the german for front and rear, left and right, V for front (vohr), H for rear (hintern), L for links (left) R for right (rechts). Get yourself a spare bleed nipple and before you start work on one corner disconnect the relevant line from the abs unit and fit the bleed nipple to block it off. Do your work and then remove the nipple and connect the pipe. Bleed the corner you have done before moving on to the next corner. This way you avoid air getting in before the abs unit, and the bleeding nightmare that follows that. I should charge you lot for all these tips ;)

They r corroded just behind the shockers in the wheel arches not far from were they connect to the flexi hoses..
