I have a 1993 400E, and despite replacement of rotors and pads, and then resurfacing a rotor, the brakes still screech when coming to a stop, especially when rolling very slowly. Any thoughts?

Did you use anti-squeal paste on the brake pads?

It does work, get it from your dealer.

I've had this problem sometimes.

The anti squeal pads do work also I've known it to be worse on some non MB pads.

That?s PASTE, not pads.

It comes in a small tube, costs about £2 from a dealer
You smear it onto all the contact points between the caliper and the metal of the pad (back & sides).

Genuine Mercedes pads do come with an anti-squeal material on the reverse of the pad, but from experience they will still squeal, unless you use the paste in addition

Didn?t know about this until I read in a post from Talbir, Cheers, great tip!
best wishes
