What the opinion on decent , but not eye-watering makes of brake pads. Mine are prob 6,12 months from changing, I may do discs at the same time, front. They seem to be made of butter these days.

For the TVRs I always used Pagid pads but they were very light cars even though they were powerful.
Not sure how they'd work on the heavier Mercs.

I have had Pagid on 320s never a problem, think most pads are basically ok apart from wearing away quicker, but then doesn’t matter what pads you use a lot depends on your driving and how hard you are on the brakes. I have saw pads that were hardly worn but they had been so abused with fast driving late braking that they had burnt on the face and were useless.

Just make sure they’re genuine…

Whatever you buy, be sure of supply chain security to avoid fakes.

I use Pagid from ECP or MB from dealer, not always the keenest price, but reduces the chance of me getting a fake part.
