Did the legendary build quality last through until the 320 ie is the 320 as well built as the 300?

I ask as a while back I had a 3 year old N reg C class that fell apart!

Thanks
Piers

Must say the the build quality has not been an issue here at all no matter what the model, the 202 does not have a bad name for the best part

Hi welcome to the forum ,I would second Malcolm’s assessments as from my own experience ,my M registered C200 (bought new) has been an excellent car ,beautifully built and a pleasure to own over the last 100,000 plus thousand miles that I have run it this last 15 years .It still looks like a car two years old with no rust . In fact I dread changing it as I think standards have gone down hill ever since about 1998 .

If you had one that fell apart you were very unlucky .In what areas did you have “fall apart “ problems because I struggle to believe it unless you unwittingly bought something that had been accident damaged and poorly repaired or very badly treated by its previous owner.

Surprised
I bought a 3year old N reg C class and it was one of the best, if not THE best car I ever owned. I had it 2 years, Sold it to my Dad who ran it for another 7 trouble free years and when he got his E class, I was very tempted to buy it back and run it again myself.
