On my 200te soon as I turn on the lights the bulb failure light comes on,I have checked and changed some of the bulbs on the car as they were going black, but now there is no faulty bulbs, could it be the unit itself?are they reliable? The car is fitted with a towbar but as far as I can tell it is a original dealer fit Euro type,so I doubt that is part of the problem.By the way Andy I will get over too you soon!!THANKS for any help...

I have had problems with the rear light clusters and the bulb warning light. Take them out and re seat all the bulbs and make sure there is not somthing either kicked the bucket or about to blow

bulb failure light

Hello...i have a 2001 C240 & i am WORN-OUT(!) from having to bring my car in to have the lite(s) "issue" adressed. The bulb failure lite comes on & it's never the same lite location. RBM of Atlanta told me that they could not replace ANY elec. harness/wiring because they can just repair what is broken at the time. I have been in 4 times this past year & was told that i would just have to come back if i have problems w/ another lite! The service mgr. told me that ALL German cars have the same issue because of the elec. vendor(s) they use in Germany. Make any sense?!
I am ready to contact the factory rep to see what can be done re: this issue.

ROTFLMAO

What a completely ridiculus comment your dealer made. I cant think of anything further from the truth.

German cars have electrical systems second to none...... ok ok some of the Japanese cars are well sorted in that department but I cant think of any other manufacturers with better components.
