Buying a C class.

I am wanting to buy a C class .I have a budget of £5000, can someone tell me what year and condition i can expect for this money.

I brought a c class sport 180 1998 last year , auto, 5 door , mint condition 100,000miles 1 owner, lpg fuel £6000

3 and a half years ago i bought a seven year old , 45,000 mile c280, one owner, fmbsh, 12 month guarantee, from a merc dealer for 7.5k. They did want rid of it though, as not too many people were charmed by the colours. you'd look at one like it now 11 years old, 100,000 for about 5k.

On a £5k budget and a C-class then you'd be looking at a W202 of about 95 - 97 era and overall condition rather than mileage will be a significant factor. Unpopular colours are cheaper, of course.
