Hi all... Sadly just had to part company with my lovely old 220E estate, (a bit expensive to run...!) so now looking for a nice, economical MB and looking at an A Class... Only trouble is I'm a bit limited on funds... about 2.5K to spend...
:(
So, question is... I read that they have a good return on the mpg... but which is the most economical model... Anything I should look out for when buying it?
Bearing in mind it'll be about 9 to 10 years old...
Thanks

There have been many threads on the site re the Mk 1 A class which a search will lead you to , alternatively there is Honest Johns review of the car at .http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/index.htm?md=230

Why not a W202? The last models? Would fit your budget too...
