Hi guys, fairly new here and i'm very sorry if i am being annoying asking lots of questions, it's just i am about to spend lots of money and i'm making sure i'm not gonna get stung for being ignorant.

I have looked at a few of these cars and i've seen one in a dealership that is on a 17 plate (2017) has 16,000 miles and looks great it is in at around £66k does this sound ok? is there anything at all i should be weary of, why would someone sell this so soon, i have driven one and it is epic?

thanks for any help i am very grateful

It’s 2 years old, whoever had the ££££ to buy it new is onto their next toy. They’ll be bored with it by 2 years. It will also not be their only car which is why it has such low miles.

Just buy it

2019 AMG S Class Coupe
As the gentleman above states, people often move them on for no other reason than they get bored with them.

Mine is also a 17 plate, has under 10,000 miles on it, and was bought as an ex-demo with c2,800 on it. In other words, in the 18 months of my owning it, I've done around 7,000 miles, which is a shame really as it's a lovely car.

My circumstances are that I have another thing for daily use and a "classic" for local gatherings/meets and stuff, so the E Class tends to get shoved to one side.

It's an awesome car to drive, probably the best handling car in it's class, with performance which is more than adequate. I have the AMG seats which, whilst looking hard and uncomfortable, are a very nice place to be and just let you keep going for miles and miles without even thinking about stopping for a break. A 4 hour trip is effortless, which is more than can be said for my previous one which had the dynamic comfort seats.

I've had a few electrical niggles with it, all of which have been sorted very quickly under warranty, but apart from that it's been sound, with no major issues to report.

There is the inevitable clunking at low speed from the front end, especially in the colder months, but this is well documented and can be alleviated by fitting winter tyres. It's never bothered me but a few get upset by it. I also seem to have a slight dash rattle developing but again, a known fault and a simple fix according to the service manager at my local dealership.

I've been thinking of selling mine recently but there's not much else that I fancy really as this car just ticks all the boxes, so I'll probably just run it this year and make a decision towards the back end.

TL;DR: Just buy it, with as many toys as you can find. :)
