THIS CLS sure looks tempting! But for now, it's part of my goal. Will get there in the future.

It has nothing much in the way of extra's, it does not say if they are memory seats or not, it would be nice to have the VIN number

you have to remember the diesel did not come with anything as standard.

it looks to have memory seats , harmon kardon, heated seats, parktronic, amg wheels, sunroof.

The basic spec is almost identical on most cars (not AMG) irrespective of diesel / petrol. Maybe the diesel buyers choose less in the way of options, and that is often the case.

Electric seats are not memory seats, so that is not clear, and I cannot see HK in the ad above

you can see it has memory seats , the buttons are on the door , i can see the tag on the speaker grille :p
i think it has most options people need , airmatic would have been nice though , like mine ;)

I do not know the 219 that well as I have never studied one, its easy when you have looked at a few, then you can pick the points out in the pictures.

I used to do that when looking for all my cars,,, it saves a lot of time, maybe all the 219's have memory seats as there is only the one switch listed

Yee Already spot that HK got badges on the front memory seats got buttons on the driver doors. Heated and ventilated seats got buttons below the screen. Or car with Xenons have oval fog lights.

Still don`t understand why people say ie car got saefty belts or power steering or other things as they are standard in modern cars.

Many dealers do not have a clue and often include standard items to try and boost the cars spec,, it is actually worse with many Mercedes dealers as the ads are computer based. It is only possible in many cases to work out what the car has really got by knowing what the extra,s look like, then one can see in the pictures with luck.

As I only ever buy cars that have everything I just get the VIN number so I can check the options list myself.

As earlier you do have to know the car a bit,,for instance take the memory switches, in some cars they use an almost identical switch for memory and non memory seats.

Hi, just to add my two penneth re tyres. Our '06 320cdi is 90%+ motorway miles and we've just got to 30,000 miles on a rear pair of Conti Sport Contact 2's with 3.5mm remaining on both.

I have to add we tickle this car along and get 43+ mpg so perhaps we're not representative ;)

We've had no other mech probs (owned the car since '08) except the glow plug light has recently started staying on after start for a minute. If I really wanted to be picky we've started with an occasional low-annoyance door rattle but suffice it to say we're nowhere near fed up with this thing yet!
