Buzzing Noise when opening!?

When using my remote key and opening the car ..... From under the bonnet is a loudish buzzing noise (similar to a fridge noise!). As if something is warming up. Any ideas what this could be? It also seems to happen when I turn ignition off and sit in car for a while its only for 5 seconds or so........ Thanks

has your vehicle got aux heater fitted, it sounds to me that it has and that it what you are hearing, you can turn it off the switch is around the centre consul area, it has wavey lines on it, light on means its off.

That is the SBC brakes charging up and normal so do sleep well

There are quite a few buzzes and noises when unlocking and locking that they do take awhile to get used to. I would be a little concerned now if I didn't hear anything.
Depending upon what the car has been doing it can take quite awhile for all the systems to switch off.
