I've not posted this so far as I don't want to appear completely stupid (partly is OK :) ), especially if it's something really obvious!

When I switch my engine off (CLK270cdi) there is a buzzing type noise for about 3-5 secs. It is most noticeable as you step out of the car but doesn't go on for long enough to track down exactly where it is coming from.

Is this normal? If so, what is it?

The 230 farts and clonks with wheezing noises, just like the 129 for quite some time when you turn them off

As long as it's supposed to do it, I'm happy.
