c 240 sport amg ?

Hi,i have just purchased a lovely c 240 sport 1998 on an R registration,on the boot on the offside there is a badge that says AMG how can i tell if this is a genuine AMG model?

Looked at a 98 "S" reg one of these before buying my plain c240.

17in AMG Alloys 225/45 front and 245/40 rear (as per option in drivers manual), rubber wheel arch protectors (were these a factory option?) and AMG badges. Everything else was normal c240 stuff (inc leather). I suspect this was just a few dealer added options at near standard price to help shift stock.

Could even be the same dealer - the one I saw came from South Wales originally.
