C class 220 2013 engine management light

My engine management light has come on in my c class 220 2013 plate. There isn’t that much loss of power, the car starts but has been sat on a forecourt for several months.
1 - is it safe to drive back to the dealership??
2 - what could be the possible problem??
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome.
At this stage it's a guessing game. Its really needs to go to an independent mercedes specialist and have the fault codes read using star. Beat to keep away from dealerships aas the cost will be 3 times as much then from an independent specialist. Unless the car is under some sort of warranty.

EML can be triggered by many things, ranging from
the cheapest to very expensive, simplest to most complex.
No point in guessing or even thinking about what it could be until its diagnosed.

Do not drive or run the engine again if the EML is Red! you can drive on an Amber light to diagnose.
