c class auto box problems

help ive got 2002,c class 180 auto & ive lost all drive from the box,the car will only engage in gear when the engine is running cold,any ideas??? please help

The atf level need to be checked first

The fault codes also need to be read.

Its probably a speed sensor problem.

cheers,the engine management light is on,this so should tell me the codes?
also how do i go about checking the level of the fluid as i cant find a level indicator?

There is a special workshop dipstick to measure it.

Any MB specialist can help you with measuring it.
