C Class Aux in

Picking up a new C 200 cdi avantgarde se on Thursday and have read with interest the various threads about ipod integration. Do not want to spend circa £400 with MB. Is the aux in fitted as standard to all new C Class models? If so is it just as simple as buying the already defined cable and fitting as shown in a previous thread. I understand that then this will allow connection with Ipod via a 3.5mm jack plug cable although will not charge and show on instrument cluster but will play through speakers.

I dont think the standard AUX in is available via the 3.5mm jack plug on the facelifted W203. I've certainly never seen one or heard of one being installed.

The proper factory IPOD kit can be purchased for circa £170 inc and fitted yourself quite easily. It doesnt have to cost £400

I dont think the standard AUX in is available via the 3.5mm jack plug on the facelifted W203. I've certainly never seen one or heard of one being installed.

Mine (facelift W203) has one, but it does also have COMAND.
