Hello all,

My car was broken into a while back and the glove box was ripped open. The lid and lock are fine but the hinge mechanism and tabs (basically the rear part of the glove box) is damaged.

I have been to MB and the part i need is £70.

So I would firstly like to ask if anyone knows or has the part for cheaper.

And secondly if anyone has any diagrams to remove that section of the console.

Cheers

Hi Steve. I had a w203 and basically I went and saw my local MB parts guy and had a long Convo and look at the parts. I turned out you can just replace the tabs but you will need to remove the rear part of the glovebox and side panel which is not easy but the tabs only cost a fiver so with a Hayes manual it shouldn't be too bad. So should be all fine. Funny thing though I don't even own a merc anymore too unreliable and too expensive to fix
