C Class Headlight Assembly

Has anyone here had a condensation problem with C Class headlight assembly.
Mine whilst sitting on the drive caused the lights to act like Close Encounters Spaceship, flashing on and off wouldn't turn off.
Mercedes main dealer wants £2,251.00 to replace! but none in the country, on back order.
Comments please as dealer is no help.

Id open it up at the back. stick a hairdryer in and then carefully check the seals.
Mercedes dealers are an absolute joke. they don't realise how offensive they are asking for silly money.

Mine has LED lights and I regularly get some condensation inside the glass. I believe it’s normal because LED lights don’t get hot enough to dry the insides. The condensation has never been a problem though and it sounds as though yours is more serious.

The other question to ask is how is changing the headlights going to stop condensation forming in the new headlights unless they have improved the design.

On my old VW beetle, the headlight units had drain tube non-return valve type assembly to allow any ingress of water to escape.
I had a similar issue on my Vito and was constantly giving it the hair dryer treatment, then investigated and found the cause of the tiny water ingress and sealed the minute hole.
