Hi all, I am thinkimg of replacing my wing mirrors with auto dipping ones, are these units plug and play or do they need a loom upgrade?
Thanks
Paul.

When you say auto dipping or auto dimming.

Auto dipping cannot be retro fitted.

Hi Paul, there are only two wires that go to the mirror glass, I think that they are automatic, I will do what I can to find out for you. it could be that they are just energized when the lights are on,as that would make sense.

Hi Malcolm, the auto dimming mirror appears to have a location for a plug of somesorts, also there is only one terminal as opposed to the two you describe on the back of the non auto dimming if this makes sense.
Thanks
Paul.

Your existing glass must have 2 wires for the heater, the dimming one will have 2 more for the dimming. for both of these function one of these wires is going to be ground. and you will just have to add a wire from the live on the dimming mirror to the lamp switch.
