Thats no harm.

Because it is not a coupe, in the sense of the word. It is a hatchback.

The real C Class Coupe is a CLK (my opinion).

They will probably make a 3 door version, but call it something different (A HATCH-BACK?)

Additional to Pascal's comments I think the arrival of the B class has blurred the product range. As it fits in below the C class saloon, it makes the Sport Coupe (can't call it a compact because BMW make those) superflous.

Hopefully they'll make some top spec, end of the line models, and I'll be putting an order in for one.

so in 2007 C saloon will change and some spy photos in the NET.

and MB thinks no enough sale with SPORTCOUPE and because of this canceled to re-product with redesign SPORTCOUPE.

and I am asking for experts.Know anything for this issue?

Dear Pascal,

I suspect the lack of backlash to your comment is probably because not many ladies visit this site and even if they did, they probably wouldn't give a monkey about our thoughts on the so-called c class coupe or. Correct me if I was wrong, I think this model was probably targeted at women drivers or if not, the car is simply very feminine looking.

My Mrs for instance loves her c 'coupe'. Good for her! I too think the car offers adequate performance and style but then, everytime I get to its driving seat, I simply feel uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get out of it.

On the other hand if indeed it has been discontinued, could this become one future classic?

KIT

I think you misunderstood both my posts. I was just giving my opinion that it is a coupe only by name. How it could be called a coupe, I dont know. I never critized the 'sport' at all, just the 'C' word. A freind of mine owns one of these Sport 'c', and i never heard him refering to it as a 'coupe'.

With regards to my second post, I used the word 'backlash' in jest (I thought that was obvious, I was going to Munster anyway:grin: ). True, most of our members are men, but we have several lady members also.

But if you think it is a true coupe, you are entitled to your opinion.

Like you Pascal, I agree with you in that it is a hatchback at best rather than a coupe.

Yes, MB saw BMW were doing nicely out of the Compact, tempting Golf buyers away and introducing people to their brand. But they couldn't be seen to copy BMW, hence Sport Coupe, not Compact.

had a nosey about round the b-class on Sunday.

I really think that they may actually do a 3dr coupe hatch version of the c-class as the b isnt anything like the sportcoupe 3dr hatch thingy.

the b-class will compete with focus c max and golf plus stuff.

the demo model looked good tho. and I could be wrong too. my cystal ball has been wrong of late. It managed to get the lottery prediction wrong by just 6 numbers.

I'm glad it's a hatch-back. As the mother of two toddlers I find my "coupe" to be a cleverly disguised practical family hatchback. It lookes like a small mercedes sports car. What more could a mum want?
