I have an 'M' Reg C180 and I'm having problems with the clutch pedal self depressing for apparently no reason. It can happen as soon as I've sat in the seat before I've even started the car, when I'm slowing down, changing gear etc. The clutch pulls to the floor and I have to hook it up with my toe before I can change gear or stop without stalling. Any ideas on what's causing this or how to fix it?

Are you losing fluid, check the brake resivoir.

Possible one of the cylinders have gone, either master above pedal or slave cylinder on the box.

Your Mercedes
C Class 2005 200cdi
A couple of years ago I had a 1992 190e and the clutch pedal did the same thing at 95,000 miles. The car was losing a little brake fluid due to a leak just below the brake fluid reservoir . Fortunately it was easy to fix and was sorted out by my local garage.
I don't know if this helps.
