Having stem cleaned my C180 98R Manual - their seems to be afew electrical related issues :-

1. When the car is started, the windscreen washer squirts non stop.
2. one of the indicators does not work
3. When the engines is swiched off, the engine fan comes on, even when the cars cold and goes off when started.

Any ideas where the electrical areas for these are?

Thanks

Sounds like you may need to invest in a couple of cans of WD40.

Spray any connections/connectors that you can see and cross your fingers!

Park the vehicle overnight in a dry well ventilated place with the bonnet (hood) up. If you can direct a fan into the bonnet from a safe distance to increase the air flow. One by one the electrical components will come back.

Better still remember to put the oil filler cap back on when topping up with oil.

Wholly agree with Rog, WD40 is the fixer of all things broken. Spray all the electricals as he says, including plugs, ruses, relays etc etc.

That should hopefully sort it out.

When I bought my '98 C200, the independant dealer I always use, told me that they had not steam cleaned the engine bay, as they knew this could cause issues with MB warranty.

The engine was by no means dirty, and I forgot about this until now.
