Need some help guys.
I have one of the first C18O an early 93 manual model.
My key in the ignition switch will not turn on fully and I can just get the steering lock undone.
Removed the block connector off the back then undone the pinch bolt and I thought it would just pull out,it is all moving to & fro but there is something still holding it on.
Thought I would give it a slight tap with a platic mallet and I SPLIT the casing of the switch!!!!!
Now in two halves and still will not withdraw.
Help us out please.

The pinch bolt I removed was on a split clamp unable to turn to position 1.
Which is positioned just off the steering column and clamps onto the ignition assembley.
Cannot see whats holding it on?
Cheers Star.

sorry i was thinking 129, i think you might have a little pin holding lock/barrel assm in column. This can only be pushed in when key in pos 1. Everything is locked unless key can be turned to pos 1. Even the black cap that fits over the barrel is locked. Best to spend some time jigling key to see if you can turn it, if it does, get hold of tool to remove black cap before you turn it off.

Yes very important that the key is turned to 1 before you try and take it out,
