Does anyone has any useful ideas in effectively improving the acceleration (by say, 25%) of the older C180, without installing a turbo or a charger (kompressor)? Pls advise. TQ.
Could you not re chip the ECU? I am not 100% sure of my facts concerning the early models but I recall there is a firm in in Blackpool that specialises in earlier engines, their name escapes me- something like Autotune & they are on the net. & can provide by mail order.

I have found the name of the firm I mentioned above:- www.motorsport-developments.co.uk whilst they specialise in diesels I have noted some enthusiastic recommendations from the petrol car owners in magazines etc.
