1997 C180 Estate Auto
I've got a what sounds like a rear wheel bearing on it's way out kind of noise coming from the rear of the car. The noise gets louder the faster I drive and it's even more pronounced when I take my foot off the accelerator. Unfortunately I cannot work on the car myself these days but it really does sound like a wheel bearing on it's way out. The trouble is the garage that I took it to reckon it's a problem with the gearbox...has anyone any ideas of what the problem could be?
Thanks
