Over the course of the weekend, I had my bonnet up and down a few times whilst trying to diagnose some poor running - however, yesterday the bonnet release handle gave up the ghost and is now detached from the dashboard. I can see some black plastic at the back of the handle (bit of the dashboard?) with a spring between it and the red handle.

Now, although I can still open the bonnet by grabbing the handle and wrapping my hand round it, it now dangles down a bit from the dashboard, so if it was a fairly straight forward fix I would put it on my 'to do' list.

Anyone know if (and how) this could be repaired?

Thanks in advance :)
