Hi all, first post after reading through a few on the issue I am currently experiencing!
I have been having an issue with my central locking and at first I couldn't fathom what was causing the issue as the fuse didn't appear to be blown however on a second look I did notice it had gone. Quick change and the new fuse blew immediately. So, a quick Google and I read that the siren also used this fuse and was a common problem re the locking. I removed the siren from the system, changed the fuse and hey presto, central locking and radio reception all sorted.
I expected the siren circuit board to be in a bit of a state re battery leakage (again common I believe) so when I opened it up I was surprised to see if was squeaky clean with zero sign of discharge.
What would this point towards being the issue then? Could it be the wiring between the siren connector and the fuse box? If so, how would I check this or could it still possible be the siren even though it looks in great condition?
Many thanks in advance for advice received.
