Hi All,

Is it possible to fit a bonnet star to my 07 C180K Coupe instead of the bonnet badge..??

Also what number is this car - W203..??

Many thanks

Television - many thanks for your reply,

Although I appreciate your view that putting a star on my bonnet may be more trouble than it's worth..I have always (50 odd years!!) dreamed of having a Merc with one..!!

Do you know how the badge is removed..the badge (part no. 210) is somehow secured with part no 220 but how is it detatched/unscrewed..?? Having just bought the car I don't want to damage it now..!!! Can I use the previous models star in my bonnet..??

Once again many thanks for you input..

Part number 220 is a nylon bung that goes into a small hole, the pegs underneath the badge go into the holes, so it is just a push fit

C180K Coupe Bonnet Star

Yes - I pushed up the pegs and off came the badge..plastiky though isn't it..?? I was expecting something more substantial..

Anyway, I wonder if I could cut a small hole the size of the previous models star and insert it..?? Looks relatively simple - what do you think..!!!

Once again I really appreciate your help and advice..

PS - There must be loads of MB Coupe owners out there who would prefer a star to a badge..??

Why not pop into your nearest dealer and ask to see one, also you could ask an owner of a car with one to show you theirs. they just clip in, if you saw the correct hole in the flesh that would tell you so much more.
