c180k kompressor engine diagnostic light comming on.

hi everyone, my 2002 c180k kompressor has done good to me, never had a problem but just before i'm about to sell the car, this light came on. its the engine light, the car was still running fine from what i can see, the light stays on when the engines on. i've looked at the manual at it said the light says i need to take it to mercedes benz to have a look at it, as it might have a problem with injection, ignition or exhaust system because the emission is exceeded.

i'm wondering whether the recent cold weather is affecting this or that the fact service A is due in 400miles. any help would be nice. thanks.

cold weather should not put your light on, neither will being close to service.

many things can throw your light on, running very low on fuel for instance.

best to get it checked out though, esp with selling.
