C200 1996 PMS Coil output info

Hi, I have a 1996 Mercedes C200 which has only 1 of the two negative outputs for the coil packs working on the PMS unit. Both circuits & coil packs work fine when used with the good output. Does the unit rely on just one pulse of the crank sensor every 360 degrees to trigger both outputs - I am trying to find out if there is any circuit/sensor supplying the PMS which would cause only one coil trigger output to work before I send the PMS unit away for a very expensive repair! Your knowledge will be greatly appreciated, Many Thanks, Bryan

No other sensors to affect output, only use a reputable company for the repair, we have seen several "repairs" still have the same problem.

As above - this is a fundamentally difficult ECU to repair, as it is a potted design.

You're wasting your time & money sending a PMS unit to be 'repaired'. You'll get charged the inspection fee & told "Sorry, no go."

that's correct - we've seen this before.

Do some searches on the Merc forums before you post off your PMS ECU.
