C200 2005 w203 heater booster problem

Had a problem with the heater booster for the last couple of years but its starting to annoy me now.

Forgot to take a pic of the code bit will update when I have it.

When the engiens cold the car is clunk's into gears, rpm is unstable and choppy. And eml is on from a cold startup. But after 20mins or so the car drives lovely. Throughout the day the eml goes off most of the time.

The code is heater booster short circuit to ground not got the actual code as of yet but will update.
