Hi have just joined and spent 3 hrs reading all your topics relating to my problem. Great site and info

i have C200 Sport V reg yr 2000

i cant get into the boot to check fuses even when i have had car running having Jumped it under bonnet terminal. interior boot release has no life nor locking button neither does back headrest button? Infera red key still works alarm and windows and battery does seem to have enough power to do eveything else other than start it

tried manual key to the boot cant get it to turn my spare key was conveinantly stolen with my coat in a pub by one of these lovely islanders here on IoW so not to sure whether i have master or valet but the lock on the boot is in the verticle unlocked position

Any ideas out there please been trying for 2 days. 4 hours spent sitting inside crying into a can of Lager. crow bar is becoming too tempting

Sorry to hear of your woes...

What shape is your key fob, round or square & do you have a ski hatch?

Sorry, I meant what shape is the manual key ...oval being the valet key I think and a square handle the master.

No quick answers I'm affraid but maybe someone will come up with something.

The only thing I can think of is that if you do have the valet key, get down to the stealership armed with all your documents and ID and get a key ordered (from chassis number) to fit the lock and go from there.

Found the problem the fuel lid has never worked think may have caused the vacuum pump on central locking to over run. pulled all fuses for 15 mins hoping to reset it self no luck, taken pump box out dismantled it and actual pump is burnt out. can i get one of these some where without having to purchase the whole unit as looks very expensive. any suggestions???? :?
