I had no option but to drive through heavy rain and I got stuck in a high level of water that entered the car too, after I towed it home it wouldn't start . The starter doesn't turn but now it does but the car wouldn't start. I pushed the car on the same day and it started for a bit but switched off then soon. Now even after pushing it , it doesn't start. What should I do? All electricals work fine I guess

Get someone to empty the water out of the engine and replace the bent con-rods would be a good start.........

Definitely did come in the cabin , I have no clue about the engine but must have entered it.

Pull the dip stick and check to see if any water bubbles on the dip stick

You need to determine wether you have ingested water into the engine for sure.
Repeated attempts to start won't help but make things worse.
I have seen some of the flooding on the BBC news it does look bad, best wishes for your people.

I first thought that was one of those "wrapped" cars, must be getting old.
