C200 T reg auto. lack of power,

i have a T reg C200 , which has a distinct lack of power, appears to be in limp home mode but no diagnostic lights appear. If the ignition is turned off and then back on again the vehicle runs ok for 1/4 mile. Gearbox will not change up either. Any ideas

Sounds very much like an Air Mass sensor fault.
Simple check on a Star Diagnosis machine will identify if its the issue,
blag you local dealer and see if they'd lok for free.

Hi

To locat the problem you will need to have the fault codes checked. But note the problem may not necessarilly be the engine. Make sure the ABS & gearbox are also read as well. If the Star Machine is used then asked for a short test & print out of the results.
