hi

got a small problem with my 2000 model c200 sport. after removing electronic key from ignition and locking the car using the remote. i realised that the backlight for the trip/mileage section of the cluster stay illuminated forever. the clock and the temp sections turn off after about 30sec from locking the car, however the trip/mileage stays on.

any ideas anybody??? as im sure it will run my battery down, and only just noticed it today, not sure if its done it previously. the car is due for a service in 29days according to the service system, could that be a reason?? i know it sounds dumb.

anyother thing is anybody know any good specialist mercedes service places in north west london???

thanks in advance

Hi.
Noticed the same occured on our C200 when there was a fault displayed and accepted(ie washer level or faulty bulb etc) leaving two small pages on the display.I found when switching the engine off when the engine stops switch the ignition on then off again and the display went off as normal.worth a try!
