The car failed to start yesterday. A mobile Mercedes technician spent 1.5 hours tinkering with the electrics last night and couldn't revive the car. The dashboard lights are dead, the steering is locked on, the car will not start and will not lock. The car is being taken to Hughes of Beaconsfield (on the back of a recovery truck) to be fixed.

Bear in mind this car is 6 months old and has covered less than 6k miles.

    Not good.

Dear Peter, you are really unlucky with your car. The c class 204 has been renowned for reliability and durability with strong engine etc. (as they intended to fix all previous issues with the 203). I really hope your situation will be dealt with promptly. But upon reading your previous post, it seems to me that there were already some existing issues with the car when you got it... I look forward to hearing any update from you and hope all goes for the better eventually. Regards

Not sure why this post was moved here, I don't need advice about how to fix the problem, I am ranting about Mercedes Benz! Bygones.

Anyway, just found out that Mercedes are taking the car back - PERMANENTLY!
