I am a new member and impressed by how much info there is!

Have a 1995 C220 with 120K miles, when I turn the heat on (does not mater 75 to 85F) the passenger side blows hot air, however, the driver side blows cool air! this is 5 to 10 minutes after I started the car then say after driving for about 15-20 minutes, the driver side starts to blow warm air but not hot! the passeger side works fine. Any idea? note: this car has only one zone control, how could they blow two different temp?

Hi,
You have a dual heater valve that is controlled electrically, mounted under the bonnet 'i think'.
You have 2 temp dials? dual zone, passenger side and drivers side 1 valve per side.
Try this thread 'How to' written by one of the forum members for an e-class but should be similar.

Never had this go wrong with mine 'yet' so cannot confirm the accuracy when applying to a w202 c class.

C220 Heater Noise

Hi, Sorry if Im repeating my message, still getting used to this.

C220 dual heater with dual controls on an 02 plate estate.

Every time I switch engine on there is a single click every five seconds, this happens about 6 times (driving me mad now)

I have tried the process below.

To reset heater flaps and actuators
1. Switch on ignition.
2. Press recirculated air and defrost buttons on control panel together for longer than 5 seconds.
The LED's in the defrost and recirculated air buttons flash alternately.

Wait until the LED's stop flashing (approx 30 sec) system set to defrost LED on.
3. Switch off ignition.
4. After 40 sec re start engine.
======================================
Could not get flashing LED's to stop, even after 2 minutes.

Can anyone help please. Thank you.

Yes you need to get the car on STAR to see what the problem is with your actuating motors/flaps, one could be faulty
