C220 and C200 are they the same engine??

Hi guys, as the title says are they the same engine? i,ve looked on auto data and the capacities look the same,wondered if they are the same lump with different software.

There the same engine, its the way the ecu is mapped that makes them different!!

why do they do that?? is it for emissions lower tax/insurance brackets?

that makes sense!!! so its probly worth having my c200 remapped then i suppose.never driven a 220 is there a big difference?

Yes there is, i own a C200cdi and the power difference is un-real! but on the up-side im getting 58mpg on a run!!!

lost me is this for petrol or diesel and can the petrol version be remapped
