Hi

It seems we have an odd issues with our c220 CDI.

The car drives and performs fantastic during winter months but have noticed that when the outside temp is 10 degrees plus.

When cruising/engine temp is upto working then we get stutters and some power loss ie its limited to 3K revs and pulling away can be a little frustrating.

i attached a code reader but no codes are stored even after a drive where the symptoms above are seen, instead i have a photo of the live data reading after a drive but have no idea if the readings during idle are good wrt the maf? iat? m.a.p (think its manifold actual pressure?)

NOTE: That during the drive i could see that the maf g/s (whatever that means or should be?) did fluctuate and at approx 60mph cruising fluctuated between 30-60g/s dependent on acceleration periods.

Any ideas on a rather odd issue would be most useful.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You are better off using STAR on these cars rather than the generic scanner there. Fault codes are often masked, or descriptions are different.

Its clearly a temperature issue, so I would look towards the thermostat or possible MAF sensor. I have just had a C Class with a very odd running and fuel economy fault that turned out to be the MAF, even when the MAF actual values were in spec!!

Quick update, garage called and informed me that the only code coming up is egr valve!
New one ordered and all fingers crossed!
