:cool:just started experiencing problems with restarting after going short distances ,unable to restart engine had to call recovery company which came and on 2 occasions , they did exactly the same thing,which was disconnect the earth cable to the battery for a couple of minutes ,then reconnected earth cable,then connected jump leads ,then turned key and it started straight away.ps on both occasions there was no fault reading on the dash ,or on code reader.could anyone give me a answer to what the problem maybe thanks in anticipation.

jump leads???!!! disconnecting battery???!!! living dangerously if the coupe has the same affliction for blowing sam units as the saloon!!!!!

I would change the crank shaft sensor, a well known fault

television has it right, hot starting problem that clears after a period standing and logs no fault code - crank sensor faulty.

it is located at about 10.30 on your belhousing, viewed from rear. they can be difficult to remove on the 112/113 engines but yours should come out ok.

i have changed the crank shaft sensor and all is running well at the moment.
